Sovah Health today announced that Dr. Kurt Voos has joined its medical staff and will be offering orthopedic and trauma spine surgery for patients in Danville and Pittsylvania County and the surrounding region. Dr. Voos has joined the practice of Spectrum Medical located in the River District Tower.

Dr. Voos comes to Danville from EmergeOrtho, an orthopedics, spine and pain management practice in Durham, NC. He completed medical school, an internship in general surgery and his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Louisville (Louisville, KY). Dr. Voos completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery (New York, NY). He is a member of the North American Spine Society, American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. An expert in musculoskeletal pain, Dr. Voos has authored numerous publications and a book on the subject. .
