Easy access is provided to the center by our dedicated entrance. For your convenience, all diagnostic and treatment services are performed in the same facility.
The Julius Hermes Breast Care Center at Sovah Health - Martinsville offers a comprehensive approach to your breast care needs. We have invested in the latest technology for diagnosing and treating breast disease. Our scope of services includes screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, genetic testing, nurse navigator, breast examination, ultrasound-guided biopsy, stereotactic-guided breast biopsy, and patient education.
We have assembled a team of radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, mammography technologists, and nurses to serve you. Consultations are available with our general surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologist when needed.
We work closely with the American Cancer Society to provide services to women with breast cancer. We are affiliated with support groups such as Reach to Recovery and Look Good...Feel Better. Custom fittings for prostheses and mastectomy garments are also available.
The MHC Coalition for Health & Wellness' Ladies First program is a community breast health initiative, which increases access to screening mammograms and other diagnostic tests for local, uninsured women who meet certain income guidelines. Sovah Health and the Breast Center regularly partner with Ladies First to host screening days and community outreach and education. Learn more about Ladies First here.
