“The best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others.” -Gandhi
March 30th is Doctors’ Day, an annual observance aimed at appreciating physicians who help save lives everywhere. The holiday first started in 1933 in Winder, Georgia, and since then it’s been honored every year on March 30th which was the first anniversary of a doctor using ether anesthesia. That physician was Dr. Crawford W. Long. Today we continue to celebrate medical advances like these and thank all doctors who’ve spent so much time and energy mastering their field of expertise.
We would like to extend a huge thanks to all our doctors here at Sovah Health that go above and beyond for every patient. You lead the way by providing knowledgeable, compassionate care every day. Thank you for the work you do for your patients, while working to strengthen our community and society. It is your hard work, devotion and tireless efforts to make our communities healthier that links us all to a better place to live and provide care for those in need. Today is just one day we take to thank and honor you.
This year we were planning to celebrate all week long, not just Doctors Day. In light of COVID-19, the celebrations we planned for each day of this week are being postponed to a later date so that we can adequately celebrate you and all you do for Sovah Health.
On behalf of the nurses, staff, and administration, we thank all our providers on Doctors’ Day and every day.
And remember to continue to practice social distancing by giving our Doctors an ‘Air Hug’!
