Dr. Nazim Khan Joins Memorial Hospital

Martinsville, VA (July 7, 2015) – Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County (MHMHC) today announced that Nazim Khan, M.D. has joined its staff and will be offering cardiology services to patients throughout Martinsville and Henry County, and the surrounding region. He has joined the practice of Southern Virginia Cardiovascular Consultants (SVCC) with Dr. Deepak Banerjee, also an interventional cardiologist. Dr. Khan brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to Memorial Hospital and SVCC.

Dr. Khan joins MHMHC from Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. Before Cape Fear, he was a cardiologist with Wakemed and Rex Healthcare Hospitals in Raleigh, NC, as well as an assistant professor of cardiology and internal medicine at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC.  

Dr. Khan graduated from Khyber Medical College at the University of Peshawar (Peshawar, Pakistan). He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut (Farmington, CT) and an interventional cardiology fellowship at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine (Greenville, NC).  Dr. Khan is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. He also is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).
