June 5, 2020

Sovah Health - Danville physicians, leaders, and clinicians gathered this week to celebrate the President’s Circle award, which was given to Sovah Health - Danville Advanced Wound Center. The Center was awarded this prestigious honor by Healogics, the nation's largest provider of advanced wound care services. Sovah Health - Danville Advanced Wound Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 92 percent within 28 median days to heal.

“Our Advanced Wound Center here at Sovah Health - Danville works extremely hard every day to treat and care for our patients so they receive outstanding outcomes. Injury to the skin provides a unique challenge, and wound healing is a complex and intricate process. This is a well-deserved honor and I am so proud of their remarkable work” said Alan Larson, CEO Sovah Health - Danville.

The Sovah Health - Danville Advanced Wound Center is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers® and provides access to benchmarking data and proven experience treating approximately 2.5 million chronic wounds. Sovah Health - Danville Advanced Wound Center offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds which have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. Leading edge treatments at the Center include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies.  The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.

“I am so proud to be a part of this amazing team.  Each staff member goes above and beyond everyday for our patients and their family while treating each patient as if they were their own family.  We are passionate about healing our patient’s wounds, so they can resume the lifestyle that they deserve" said Sonja Cook, Program Director.
