Sovah Health today announced that family medicine physician Lyne Aigner, MD has joined its staff and will be offering primary care to adult patients throughout Martinsville, Henry County and the surrounding region at Sovah Occupational Medicine. In addition to primary care, Dr. Aigner will work with nurse practitioner Melissa Smith, DNP to provide care to meet the occupational health needs of local businesses and industry in the area.

Dr. Aigner comes to Martinsville from Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, VA. He attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA and completed his residency at Womack Army Community Hospital in Fort Bragg, NC. Dr. Aigner specializes in annual wellness exams, acute care (sick) visits, occupational medicine, physicals, hypertension, and diabetes. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
