Sovah Health today announced that nurse practitioner Joni Sessor-Kendrick has joined its staff and will be providing specialty care for women at Sovah Healthcare for Women in Martinsville.
“Joni is no stranger to our hospital having previously worked in our oncology, home health and Women’s Center departments. We are so excited to welcome her back as she joins our OB-GYN team at Sovah Physician Practices,” said Michael Ehrat, Chief Executive Officer of Sovah Health - Martinsville. “Her comprehensive background and passion for women’s health will be a valuable asset as we expand our primary and specialty care services for women.
Joni comes to Sovah Health from Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, VA), where she worked as a Registered Nurse and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Bachelor’s of Science of Nursing (BSN) from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and a Master’s of Arts in Human Services from Liberty University. Joni specializes in annual wellness exams, reproductive health, pelvic pain, incontinence, endometriosis, and PCOS. She is certified as a Women’s Health Care Provider, a Maternal Newborn Nurse and in Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
