EMS Week 2023 Recognitions - Beth Arseneault of Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad

May 19, 2023

Beth Arseneault is the first female Captain appointed to the Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad (FDRS). She volunteered for 11 years, with 8 of those being at FCRS.  During these years she has gained the experience she needs to be at the captain’s position.  She is extremely humble to be able to serve her community in this capacity.   Beth is unique in that she finds peace in the chaos. She has a true passion for helping others and finds it very rewarding to be there for her community in their time of need and making a difference in someone’s life.

A typical day starts with truck check offs. This ensures equipment on the ambulances is working properly and supplies are restocked.  She makes sure that her team is prepared for any emergencies they may encounter throughout the day. After getting prepared for the day, she and her team wait to get dispatched to calls within our community.  From car wrecks to helping deliver babies, EMS workers will never know what their days will look like.  For her, that’s what makes this field extremely interesting and intriguing.

When not at work, Beth enjoys camping, cooking, and fishing with her family.  She enjoys working side by side with some of the best providers in Henry County.  She feels truly blessed to be at a station that is a true definition of a work family.  In the chaos, her team thrives and always comes together to provide the best care for her patients.
