What is your role at Sovah Health– Danville?

My role at Sovah Health is Night Shift Charge Nurse. 

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare? 

I have always been a nurturing type of person and when the time came for me to choose a career path, nursing seemed like the best fit. 

What is a typical day like for you working in this field? 

A typical night shift begins with report, then I do some light cleaning and my charge responsibilities. I assist nurses, techs, and doctors with whatever they need, as well as maintain the order and flow of the department. 

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position? 

I have been with Sovah Health for 11 years.  I worked as an ED Tech while in nursing school and transitioned to the RN role in 2014.  I moved to Charge Nurse in 2020. 

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?

Outside of work I spend time with family, friends, and trivia night.  Local gems I enjoy are Roosky's and Scuffle Hill Brewery.
