Tammie Carter, Clinical Associate at Sovah Health – Danville was honored today with The BEE Award for extraordinary staff members. The BEE Award is a way to say thank you to a staff member of Sovah Health who has provided a BEE-yond Exceptional Experience.

During her time with Sovah Health, Tammie has made a tremendous impact on our patients and organization. She had three nominations for the award by patients that stated Tammie was very knowledgeable, explained everything in detail, communicated with them throughout and after their procedures, and provided follow up calls after going home to make sure they were okay. One nominator stated that Tammie treated them as a person and not a task and that employees like Tammie give Sovah Health a good name. Another nominator could not express enough how good Tammie was to her and that she goes beyond her job duties in a caring way and she was "special." She was also recognized by a nominator that Tammie demonstrates exemplary care and concern and made them feel right at home.

The BEE Award was created to honor staff members who continuously go above and beyond for patients and their families. Along with the DAISY Award that recognizes our nursing staff, the BEE Award recognizes non-nursing staff members that provide exceptional care and teamwork. Our BEE Award honorees demonstrate the “petal principles” and portray excellence through expertise and compassionate care.
