Sovah Health - Danville Announces DAISY Award Winner

Lauren Scearce, RN of Sovah Health – Danville was honored recently with The DAISY Award® For Extraordinary Nurses, an international recognition program that celebrates nurses who provide exceptional clinical skill and compassionate care to patients and families.

Scearce received two nominations from patients who described her compassion, encouragement and dedication during their Labor & Delivery.

One patient described Scearce as a “ray of sunshine” who brought a positive attitude and genuine compassion after a difficult night, noting that she remained caring and honest while helping her feel confident throughout the delivery. The patient shared that Scearce was there every step of the way, offering encouragement and making her feel that she could accomplish what she had set out to do. 

Another patient described Scearce as patient, kind and highly informative, praising her willingness to walk her through the labor process and making sure she understood what was happening at every step. The patient said Scearce made her feel comfortable and supported throughout the experience and went above and beyond in her care. She described Scearce as the kind of nurse she would recommend to every pregnant woman, calling her the “real MVP.”
