EMS Week 2023 Recognitions - Keith Sink of Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad

Keith Sink began his EMS journey in 2009 at Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad (FDRS).  Since then, he has served in five different positions ranging from an active member/non-officer, Facility Officer, Fleet Officer, Equipment Officer, Deputy Captain, to Assistant Captain. Although it is physically and emotionally challenging work, Keith feels that there is nowhere else that offers the privilege and responsibilities of meeting people that you can tangibly help.  You never know what your day is going to look like, and this role leads to meeting extraordinary people.  Keith’s want to assist those is need is overwhelming. 

Sink’s interest outside of work ranges from spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, trial riding, kayaking, fishing, and vacationing in the Great Smokey Mountains or the beach.  For Keith, FCRS provides an invaluable service for the community and literally carries lives in their hands.  EMS works tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of others.  He encourages others who are reading this article and find yourself considering a career in EMS, to check out their squad!
