Sovah Health Welcomes Local Cardiologist

Sovah Physician Practices announced that long-standing local cardiologist, Gary Miller, MD, has joined its staff and is offering cardiovascular services for patients at Sovah Heart & Vascular – Danville.

Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the Internal Medicine Program at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, and completed his residency at the Chesterfield Family Practice Program at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. He completed his cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee and post fellowship training at Duke University Medical Center for percutaneous angioplasty of coronary arteries. He is board-certified by the American Board of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, Medical Society of Virginia, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine, and the American College of Cardiology.

As a cardiologist, Dr. Miller specializes in diagnostic testing, general cardiology, arrhythmias, heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, peripheral artery disease, peripheral veinous disease, percutaneous coronary interventions, implantation and follow-up of permanent pacemakers.
