- What is your current role?
Danville City Firefighter and Fire Captain with Ringgold Vol. Fire & Rescue
- What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?
I enjoy helping others. Growing up I watched my mom and dad work as nurses and first responders. Being able to help someone no matter the situation is truly a blessing.
- What is a typical day like for you working in this field?
Every day there is never a dull moment. You never know what the next call may be or even when it will be. It is also some of the most rewarding work just being able to help people on their worst days.
- How long have you volunteered/been employed here?
I have volunteered for about 9 years in Pittsylvania County and have been employed through the City of Danville Fire Department for almost 4 years.
- What are some of your interests outside of work?
I enjoy a lot of things outside of work but mainly being outside hunting or fishing, spending time with friends and family.
- What do you enjoy most about your organization?
The best thing about both departments is being able to have/make new friends and have a second family that is always there.
